When
the world keeps trying, to drag me down…I've gotta raise my hands, gonna stand
my ground“Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”
~ John Parker
There are times when it’s so hard to stand our ground. If someone calls us out we can’t back down. We need to face the situation and fight. How about you, when a challenge is before you, do you have a hard time standing your ground? If you do what are the reasons?
Successful
people like:
1. Tommy and Gina stood their
ground.2. Bob Dylon stood his ground. His music represented his life. He remained true to what was important to him even if it meant losing some fans. His standards took priority over societies. He sung and fought for what he believed in. His attitude was … I ain't gonna do what I don't want to…I'm gonna live my life.
3. Martin Luther King Jr stood his ground. Dr. King was one of the most heroic and respected leaders of the Civil Rights Movement. He sacrificed his life for the dream of equal rights. He represents freedom and justice to millions of people. His example, his works, and his accomplishments changed the world Americans live in, and helped to built better relationships between races. Dr. King's life tells us about the importance and the value of freedom in our world. If the world is without freedom, justice, and equal rights, we need to change it, but it does take sacrifice. His attitude was … I ain't gonna do what I don't want to…I'm gonna live my life.
4. Walt Disney stood his ground. Walt and his brother Roy where beat by their father on a regular basis; all it took was not living up to his expectations. His attitude was … I ain't gonna do what I don't want to…I'm gonna live my life.
